The olive harvest is one of the most traditional and evocative rendezvous’ of the Autumn season. The Tuscan “extra virgin” olive oil is with no doubts one of the most wide spread and appreciated between all varieties of Italian olive oil.
The production of the Tuscan “extra virgin olive oil” takes place through processes of first pressing, and it is obtained from the olives that are harvested by traditional ancient means on the hill areas of Tuscany.
Once the olives reach their best stage of growth, they are collected from the trees by shaking the branches and letting the olives fall into sealable plastic crates, in order to maintain the necessary freshness to produce a good tuscan “extra virgin olive oil” of first pressing.
To savour the taste-olfactory nuances of one of the best products of the region, during 29th and 30th October soirées, our Hotel suggests a menu in its own restaurant with new olive oil based dishes (bruschettine). After dinner the evening will be enliven with music.

Saturday 15th October 2011 the Foundation “Palazzo BLU” of Pisa inaugurates the 3rd Great Art Exhibition dedicated to the Masters of the past century, whose cultural roots radiate from the Mediterranean Seaside. After the happy dreams of Marc Chagall, after the poetry of Joan Mirò, this year it is the turn of Pablo Picasso, undisputed genie of the Art of the Twentieth Century, whose creative fury, born in Barcelona, marked the entire century.
Until 29th January 2012 the showrooms of the historical Palazzo in Lungarno Pisano will host 200 objets d’art – paintings, pottery, drawings and works on paper, some famous series of lithographies and “Acqueforti” (etched engraving), books, tapisserie – that will allow people to understand how the will of being a painter brought a youngest Picasso through a continuous manifestation of his creative genius to explore every possible artistic path in Barcelona during the last years of the Nineteenth Century.
Fulcrum of the entire exhibition will be the extraordinary and unique collection of 59 Linocuts, part of the Picasso Museum in Barcelona, from which will broaden the exhibition path with works from 1901 to 1970.
Our offer for the Month of October starts from Euro 40.00 per person per night
